WHO WE ARE
With over 20 years combined experience in surf coaching and as a team of professionals (primary school teachers, sport coordinators, strength and conditioning coaches and a upcoming professional longboarder) we want to bring our expertise together and create an energised, skill based Holiday Camp for children to progress their surf and skate skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
WHERE ARE WE BASED
We will meet at 8:30am at our trailer at the beach access opposite Tay Street, Mt Maunganui. We've chosen this location having explored the coast for a safe, consistent and less crowded surf spot. With ample parking and a grassy area with public benches over looking the surf, its proved to be a wonderful spot to run our sessions.
Following our Surf Session and Morning Tea we will carry out a Skate Session using either Mount Sports Centre, local skate parks or a nearby pump track depending on participants ability. Pick up will be at the same location as the morning drop off, the beach access opposite Tay Street at 2pm.
WHAT'S INCLUDED

8:30am - Check in

8:40am - Set intentions for the day and make a call on whether we skate or surf first
8:45am - Warm up with land based games -
8:50am - HIT THE SURF or SKATE PARK!

9:45am - Regroup, water break and discuss session objectives plus allow kids to bring up any questions.

10am - Re-enter the session

10:20am - Exit the session and allow kids to self reflect.

10:30am - Morning Tea. Change into warm clothes if surf session was 1st

11:00am - Hot Pools/Bay Wave/Wharf Jump session to encourage water confidence in a safe and supportive environment

12pm - Regroup and make our way to our second session of either skating or surfing.

12:15pm - HIT THE SKATE PARK or THE SURF!

1pm - Lunch. Parents to organise a packed lunch for their child. Water however will be provided.

1:20pm - Re-enter the session

1:50pm - Debrief and ensure children have all their belongings.

2pm - Pick up
Children/Parents must arrive with all the kit they will need for a surf, swim and skate. We advise children wear suitable clothing for the day, along with suitable wetsuit accessories (Booties, gloves, hood) if required.
No equipment is provided unless you have organised this with us prior to the sessions.
WHY CHOOSE US
From 8:30am, your children will be immersed in a world of surf and skateboarding. This is an opportunity for your child to partake in an affordable series of Surf and Skate Lessons.
From a surf session with highly experienced coaches, land based games to warm up, water safety and lifesaving skills and then an indoor skate session (outside if it conditions allow). They will leave with new skills, new friends and a fresh stoke for the sport.
